When Joshua Russell got in touch with us and told us about the research he is doing with children and the loss of their pets, we were intrigued. Having lost many pets over my lifetime, and being a bit of an animal fanatic, I immediately realized how pertinent his study is to my life and assumed that in a neighbourhood with so many dogs and cats and other pets (and kids for that matter), his article would likely find an interested audience.
