“Duality” at MJG Gallery

October 3rd to 31st, 2012

Starts: October 3rd, 2012

Ends: October 31st, 2012

Where: MJG Gallery View map

MJG Gallery will exhibit “Duality” thru the month of October. I’ve asked some 20 artists to work with concepts including “hot & cold”, “in & out”, “war & peace”, “black & white”, “twins”, diptychs etc.
One of the attractions for Duality will be “Mark & John”*, a genuine two-headed calf taxidermy. Polycephaly (two-headed-ness) always makes headlines when found in the natural world. Almost every museum displays live and preserved specimens and they always amaze and educate while myth and folklore in numerous cultures abound with Janus-headed motifs!
*”Mark & John” died of natural causes after living for just a few weeks on an Alberta farm years ago. It made it’s way to me and I look forward to reaction during the show.
The Duality Opening Night Reception is Thursday, October 4th, 6-10pm. An e-vite will be sent out in a few weeks.
