I thought we had jinxed ourselves when we had to wait four days due to wet weather to get the New Year’s issue out on the street. After all, our lead story is about weather and as much as I enjoyed putting it together with author, John Lindblad and photographer, Alain Brouard, I admit to having become a little superstitious as we struggled to find a few dry moments to get it out to our distribution points. Local’s matte paper is like a sponge with rain and we had plenty. Anyway, at least now we understand the ying yang that takes place in our weather systems along the lake. Hope you are enjoying the New Year’s issue. We’ve had a LOT of positive feedback about it which has been lovely. Every once in awhile an issue stands out and this seems to be one of those. Have a great long weekend everyone.
