Heads in the Trees

March 27th, 2012 by Katie

This story came together as a result of several ideas colliding. I
noticed the Leslieville Tree Project last year around the time the
Green issue came out and wanted to find out more about what was
happening with it. Local, Carly D’Eon-Slack got in touch with Local
back in the Fall about contributions her neighbours were making to
their local tree canopy and, regular contributor, Martina Rowley let
us know about a few outreach projects going on in our neck of the
woods that she was aware of. All in all it added up to a story
about what you can do to beautify the tree canopy in your yard or on
your street or in your neighbourhood. We’ve had tree stories from the
experts taking care of our local trees before but it was nice to truly
take it grass roots. We hope you enjoy the story and look at the trees
in your yard a little differently.
